Bodies of missing Whisper Owen and her daughter were found in a submerged car in an Escalon canal, concluding the search for the Sacramento residents.

Divers are searching an irrigation canal in Escalon Sunday for a vehicle that matches the description of the one a missing Sacramento mother and infant were last seen in, officials said.

The Fresno County Sheriff's Office previously reported Whisper Owen, 36, and her 8-month-old daughter were last seen on July 15 in Fresno.
