Netflix's Thu. Murder Club Review

The Thursday Murder Club is the latest Netflix release to receive solid word-of-mouth through its early Rotten Tomatoes score.
Given that it'll be available to watch on Netflix next week, the UK's three major cinema chains won't be screening The Thursday Murder Club. Movies need to have a longer exclusive window in cinemas (generally at least 30 days between theatrical and home release) to be shown in the major chains.

Chris Columbus' film also features Ben Kingsley, Jonathan Pryce, Naomi Ackie and Celia Imrie in key supporting roles.
Home Alone’ and ‘Harry Potter’ director Chris Columbus tackles the mystery genre with this adaptation of Richard Osman’s bestselling crime novel.
The Thursday Murder Club closely follows the plot of the first book, which made us all fall in love with the titular crime-solving pensioners: Elizabeth (Helen Mirren), Joyce (Celia Imrie), Ron (Pierce Brosnan) and Ibrahim (Ben Kingsley).
Ben Kingsley brought his wife Daniela Lavender as his date to the U.K. premiere of his new crime comedy Netflix movie 'The Thursday Murder Club' on Aug. 21 in London. The pair of actors have been married since 2007.
The Thursday Murder Club writer Katy Brand fought back tears as she praised Dame Helen Mirren and Jonathan Pryce for their tender portrayal of dementia in the new Netflix film. The movie is an adaptation of Richard Osman's best-selling novel about a group of retirement home residents who come together to solve murders for fun but find themselves caught in a real-life case.
Imrie plays Joyce, a former trauma nurse who fellow Thursday Murder Club member Elizabeth [Helen Mirren] describes on first meeting as ‘nice enough, a bit simple really, but knows all about knife wounds’, making her useful to the group.
