FOUNTAIN VALLEY, Calif. - The chief of the Fountain Valley Fire Department died unexpectedly on Friday, the department announced. Chief Bill McQuaid died on Friday, according to the department.

Sergeant Shiou Deng was with the Los Angeles Police Department for nearly 27 years. He is survived by his wife.
