The New York Giants aren't entertaining any trades for one of their back up quarterbacks ahead of the start of the season.

Trade talks are expected to pick up around the league as teams move toward next Tuesday's deadline to set their 53-man rosters and one player whose name has come up as a possible trade target is Giants quarterback Jameis Winston.

NEW YORK — Daniel Jones is an NFL starter once again. Jones won the Indianapolis Colts’ quarterback job over Anthony Richardson, head coach Shane Steichen announced Tuesday. “He’s our starting quarterback for the season,” Steichen said. “I don’t want to have a quick leash on that. I feel confident in his abilities.”

Jones signed on to compete with Anthony Richardson, and on Tuesday, he was named the Colts starter for the team's opener. Colts head coach Shane Steichen quickly confirmed Jones as the starter for the season and indicated it was not viewed as a short-term solution.
