The MLS game between Los Angeles FC and Austin FC on Saturday was postponed because of inclement weather and flooding in Texas.

The National Weather Service issued a flood watch for Austin and the surrounding area, with possible rainfall amounts reaching one to three inches with potential isolated pockets of five-inch rainfall. The NWS also said that excessive runoff could result in flash flooding in certain areas with low elevations and areas near bodies of water.

It's another game likely to have big consequences in Austin FC's ongoing hunt for a playoff spot. The two opponents — along with the Colorado Rapids — sit level on 26 points. LAFC holds the best goal difference among that bunch, and sits in seventh place as a result. Austin FC occupies ninth place and the final playoff spot that comes with it.
