Israel has carried out air strikes against Houthi targets in Yemen's capital, Sanaa, in response to the group's missile attack on Friday which the Israel military said carried cluster munitions.The Israeli operation targeted a military complex housing the presidential palace,

The strikes come just days after Houthi rebels fired a missile toward Israel, which the military said was the first cluster bomb launched by the rebels since 2023.

Israel struck Yemen’s Houthis on Sunday after the Iran-backed rebels fired a new type of missile at Israel. The Israeli military said it struck a military site where the presidential palace is located, as well as two power plants and a fuel storage site.
