iPhone 17's 'TechWoven' cases tipped to be the durable, sustainable cases FineWoven failed to be
Apple could fix one of the biggest blunders it made in recent years — and offer a FineWoven replacement that's actually durable.
FineWoven was terrible, and a leaker with a very mixed track record says that there is a new material that will replace it in iPhone 17 cases.
Pictures from leaker Majin Bu show what appears to be iPhone 17 Pro Max case boxes with the new texture. It looks like of like the texture on Amazon’s fabric Kindle cases. [Image:
Apple is planning to launch a new "TechWoven" line of cases for the iPhone 17 series, according to a leaker known as "Majin Bu."
According to a leak from China, Apple is once again working on vegan leather. This time, it is said to be more durable than the old "fine fabric".
It’s been a while since Apple dropped leather and replaced it with FineWoven — only to mostly drop FineWoven over customer feedback. Now leaker Majin Bu says Apple has yet another leather alternative ready to go for the iPhone 17 case lineup.
