The Kansas City Chiefs pounced on an opportunity to welcome back a fan favorite and made it happen Sunday after acquiring Derrick Nnadi from the New York Jets in a trade that incl

Nnadi spent the first seven years of his career with the Chiefs before signing with the Jets this offseason. But he became expendable when the Jets added two veteran defensive tackles via trade last week. They acquired Harrison Phillips and a 2027 seventh-round pick from the Vikings in exchange for a 2026 sixth-rounder and 2027 sixth-rounder.

The New York Jets have struck their third trade of the past week involving a defensive tackle. This time it’s a defender heading out of town. Derrick Nnadi has been shipped back to the Kansas City Chiefs.
