Chevrolet's newest Corvette, the ZR1, five production car lap records during a U.S. track tour, Chevy announced Tuesday.

A pre-production version of the Chevrolet C8 Corvette ZR1 equipped with the ZTK performance package just set five track records across the U.S.

Watkins Glen, Road America, Road Atlanta, and Virginia International Raceway have all fallen to the C8 ZR1's speed. At the latter, both the 3.270-mile Full Course and the 4.2-mile Grand East Course had their records broken by the ZR1.
