Air Canada suspended all operations Saturday morning after more than 10,000 flight attendants walked off the job demanding higher pay and better scheduling protections.

The federal government is intervening to resolve a labour dispute between Air Canada and the union representing flight attendants.

Tanya Baron said while fighting back tears that her family was trying to get home to Saskatoon and airline staff had yet to provide them with rebooking options and was giving her the runaround.
