The Philadelphia Eagles came away as the winners in an all-NFC East battle for a conference title, taking down Washington 55-23. For the second time in three years, the Eagles are representing the NFC in the Super Bowl.

The Eagles and Commanders have never faced each other in an NFC title game, which makes the stakes of Sunday's matchup a rivalry that has existed since 1934. Despite that, ripping the Cowboys takes precedence over focusing on each other.

The Philadelphia Eagles are Super Bowl-bound. After defeating the Washington Commanders XX-XX the Eagles will face the Kansas City Chiefs or Buffalo Bills in Super Bowl LIX. Kickoff for Super Bowl LIX is 6:30 p.m., Feb. 9 at Caesars Superdome in New Orleans.

James Washington returned a fumble for a touchdown early in the third quarter to tie the game, and Emmitt Smith ran for two touchdowns in the second half for a 30-13 win that capped a fourth straight Super Bowl setback for the beleaguered Bills.
