Toronto signed Springer to a six-year, $150 million contract in January 2021. The 6-foot-1-inch, 220-pounder then hit at least .258 over the next three seasons before plunging to .220 last year.
Springer is now hitting .270 for the season with 13 homers and 47 RBIs. The 35-year-old is in the fifth year of a six-year deal that was signed before the 2021 season.
