Amazon and Lionsgate have struck a streaming deal to have as many as 20 Lionsgate theatrical releases stream on Prime Video each year.
Lionsgate filed an amended registration with the SEC taking into account changes requested by the Commission and moving closer to a split of Studios and Starz.
Prime Video will exclusively stream Lionsgate’s 2026 slate of films.
Starting in 2026, Prime Video will also be able to select premium titles from Lionsgate’s catalog, including such premium franchises as John Wick, Twilight, Divergent, Saw and Emmy-winning TV series like Nurse Jackie and Weeds, among others.

The agreement will see titles like ‘Now You See Me 3’ and ‘The Hunger Games: Sunrise on the Reaping’ land on the streamer after leaving cinemas and Starz’s earlier exclusive first-run window.
Lionsgate and Starz are about to be split from each other, but the entities have extended their exclusive theatrical output deal.
Starting in 2026, Prime Video will also be able to select premium titles from Lionsgate’s catalog, including the studio’s premium properties and iconic franchises such as “John Wick,” “Twilight,” “Divergent,” “Saw” and Emmy-winning television series like “Nurse Jackie” and “Weeds,” among others, to bring to its Prime members.
Amazon's Prime Video and Lionsgate have struck up a deal that gives the streamer exclusive streaming rights to the studio's movies.
