The Krewe of Rex parade route has changed once again, the New Orleans Police Department announced early on Mardi Gras morning. Due to incoming severe weather and high winds, Zulu and Rex changed their start times and routes on Monday.

Despite the rain, Kaplan’s community celebrates 70 years of the Krewe Chic A La Pie Mardi Gras Parade. The parade started earlier than normal because of the severe weather but even in the rain people danced to the music on the floats.
