Before KPop Demon Hunters reached its final form, a tender moment between Rumi and Jinu was pitched. Character designer Marion Bordeyne revealed on Instagram that, during the early stages of development, the team had planned a sweet, emotional scene between the two characters.

KPop Demon Hunters is already a big success for Netflix and Sony, and a potential sequel could address one fairly minor problem the movie had.

As of July 2, Netflix and Sony Pictures Animation have not revealed whether KPop Demon Hunters will return for a sequel. However, it's hard to imagine that a continuation won't happen in some form, be it a sequel, prequel, or even a TV series.
