California's fire marshal revokes pyrotechnic licenses after deadly Esparto fireworks explosion
Friday, Cal Fire's Office of the State Fire Marshal announced that they had revoked the pyrotechnics licenses of Kenneth Chee and Craig Cutright – two people whose companies, Devastating Pyrotechnics Inc. and Blackstar Fireworks, are being investigated after the explosion.
The wildfire started burning in a rural area several miles east of Highway 49 and southeast of Placerville. As of 4:30 p.m. the Cal Fire Amador-El Dorado Unit said the wildfire was burning at a moderate rate of spread.
