Even without Clark, the Fever have the Mercury's number, winning six consecutive games against them. The Mercury lost 107-101 to the Fever on July 30 in Indianapolis in their previous meeting this season. Arizona product Aari McDonald filled in nicely in Clark's absence and posted 27 points with 3 of 4 shooting from the 3 against the Mercury.

Down 26-14 with 44.6 seconds left in the first quarter, veteran Fever guard Sydney Colson went down with a non-contact injury right in front of the Indiana bench. She was ruled out for the rest of the game, and the Fever went on to lose 95-60.

Indiana is riding a two-game win streak, but the Fever will face a test against the Phoenix Mercury with All-Star guard Caitlin Clark out again.
