The streets of downtown Baton Rouge were a sea of pink as thousands gathered for the annual Spanish Town Parade, a beloved Mardi Gras tradition known for its over-the-top floats, satirical humor, and festive spirit.

This year’s theme honored Smiley Anders, a legendary Baton Rouge columnist, and a longtime friend of Spanish Town. Spanish Town has been rolling since the 80s and the crowd has never dwindled. People of all ages come every year to enjoy the energy of the parade.
