Dustin Poirier may get his wish of having his final UFC fight at home. Poirier (30-8 MMA, 22-7 UFC) is looking to compete one more time before calling it a career, and the former interim lightweight champion is currently working with the UFC on making it happen in his home state of Louisiana.

Retirement has been on the mind of the former UFC interim lightweight champion for quite some time now, Poirier finally wanting to hang up the gloves after a third title bid against Islam Makhachev last summer. The 40-fight veteran isn't willing to go out without a fight, however.

Former two-time UFC men's bantamweight champion Dominick Cruz has suffered another setback ahead of his planned retirement fight on March 22.

UFC 312 is light on value, especially compared to UFC 311, but the co-main event is solid. UFC women's strawweight champion Zhang Weili makes the third defense of her second title reign against Tatiana Suarez. "The Ultimate Fighter 23" winner Suarez was labeled a future champion out of the gate, but frequent injuries delayed the inevitable.

In the co-main event, China’s Zhang Weili (25-3) will defend her strawweight championship against top-ranked challenger Tatiana Suarez (11-0) of Rancho Cucamonga, California. Zhang has won her past three title defenses, two by unanimous decision and the other by second-round submission.
