The AARP New York-Gotham Polling & Analytics poll​ surveyed 1,376 likely voters, and found Mamdani well ahead of his nearest challengers with 41.8% support.

Mamdani's surge to become the potential face of the Democrats in New York City has intensified debate over the future direction of the party.

The survey by American Pulse Research & Polling finds Mamdani with support from 36.9% of general election voters, to 24.6% for Andrew Cuomo, 16.8% for Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa, and 11.4% for incumbent Eric Adams.
