Eberechi Eze has been left out of Crystal Palace ’s matchday squad to face Fredrikstad, with a big-money transfer move to Arsenal looming. Tonight’s Europa Conference League play-off clash had initially been billed as the last chance for Palace supporters to watch Eze in their colours when it appeared the midfielder was on his way to Tottenham.

Fredrikstad, who are coached by Andreas Hagen, currently sit in eighth place in the Norwegian top flight through 18 games. They have dropped down from the qualifying rounds of the Europa League after losing to Danish side Midtjylland and into this play-off for the group stages of the Conference League.

Eberechi Eze has not been named in the Crystal Palace squad to face Fredrikstad as he closes in on his move to Arsenal. He will have a chance to say his goodbyes at Selhurst Park, though, as he watches from the stands. His medical at Arsenal is booked for Friday.
