There will be a dry spell between storms — and get ready for some cooler temperatures until the rain is gone, plus snow in local mountains.

A fast-moving storm dropped about a half-inch of rain in parts of Los Angeles County and more rain is on the way, forecasters said Monday.

Northern areas of the Inland Empire saw the most rainfall from a storm system that moved in Sunday and was expected to last through the early morning hours Monday, according to the National Weather Service office in San Diego.
