After a rest day on Monday, Auston Matthews stepped onto the ice before the Toronto Maple Leafs' optional morning skate ahead of Game 5 against the Ottawa Senators.

John Tavares practiced in full on Monday after taking an elbow to the head from Senators defenceman Artem Zub in overtime of Game 4. Tavares looks and sounds fit to play in Game 5 after being called into concussion protocol following the hit. Tavares missed a crucial four-minute power play and the Leafs did not score.

The NHL announced an official scoring change on Toronto forward Matthew Knies' second-period goal in Game 4. "Toronto's goal at 10:12 of the second period now reads Matthew Knies from Mitch Marner and Auston Matthews," NHL Public Relations wrote.
