The React project originated at Facebook; the open source project has a BSD license and a patent rights grant from Facebook. React is not an end-to-end JavaScript application framework.

Our first challenge with pico.js is that it is an implementation of a research project in JavaScript, not necessarily a production-ready library following modern JavaScript standards.
