Alabama will hold races for its seven congressional districts, as well as a race for chief justice of the Supreme Court. There's also one state measure on the ballot dealing with the Franklin County Board of Education.

Alabama's 7th Congressional District is currently the state's only U.S.-level seat held by a Democrat. In a 5-4 ruling, the United States Supreme Court ordered the state to redraw its congressional map after finding the current layout discriminates against Black voters. The district was then altered.

Voters in Salisbury, Maryland can vote on two Congressional races, an abortion amendment and a Wicomico County resolution.

Vermonters will trek to the polls on Nov. 5 to vote on who will represent them in Montpelier and Washington, D.C. Key races in the Green Mountain State include U.S. Senate, U.S. House, governor and lieutenant governor.

Alabama's 2nd Congressional District was redrawn last year to give the state an opportunity to have a second minority district. The district now consists of 48% minority voters. The race drew 19 candidates during its Democratic and Republican primaries, leading to a face off between Shomari Figures and Caroleene Dobson for the seat.
