Fairfield comes from behind to defeat Nevada, advances to U.S. final at Little League World Series
Fairfield National defeated Nevada, 7-3, on Wednesday to advance to Saturday’s U.S. Championship game at the Little League World Series.
The score was 13-0 with runners on the corners and one out in the sixth when Nevada used a delayed steal to get the runner on first into scoring position. Play-by-play announcer Karl Ravech called out the questionable move.
A Little League World Series coach is taking a lot of heat for a move people are calling “classless” while his team was already up 13-0. Nevada’s Summerlin South All-Stars crushed Illinois in Wednesday’s opener, winning 16-1 without much of a fight.
