We are kicking off the week with another round of showers and thunderstorms. These storms are very hit-or-miss. If you do see a storm it can bring a quick heavy downpour and frequent lightning strikes. Otherwise it’s humid and hot.

Pet shelters in the Texas Hill Country were in need of help after the flash floods and the Houston Humane Society stepped up. Angelina Saucedo joins the Houston Morning Show with one of the dogs rescued from the area.

The catastrophic flooding in Central Texas has left more than 100 people dead, including Houston-area residents.

"Life-threatening flash flooding" is ongoing in Kerr and Gillespie Counties -- including the areas of Kerrville, Comfort, Ingram, Hunt, Mountain Home, Waltonia, Harper, Kerrville-Schreiner Park and Cypress Creek -- according to the National Weather Service.
