As Florida wages a battle over fluoride in drinking water, an analysis of state data shows that municipalities that add fluoride to drinking water have lower rates of visits to hospital emergency

Florida lawmakers are considering a bill that would have a direct impact on our area. Back in November, right after the election, Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. said Donald Trump would remove fluoride from the water supply on his first day in office.

Ladapo appeared before Miami Dade County’s committee on safety and health Tuesday, alongside University of Florida professor Ashley J. Malin— whose research focuses on the potential negative effects of fluoride— and two dentists to speak against fluoride in local water supplies.

The association noted that about 50% of Utah residents reside in those two counties that currently add fluoride to water. It cited Utah Department of Health and Human Services dat

Utah is set to become the first state to ban fluoride in public drinking water. On Monday, Utah's Republican Governor Spencer Cox stated that he would sign a bill banning the chemical in drinking water when it arrives at his desk.

Utah Gov. Spencer Cox (Rep.) plans to sign a bill from his state's House and Senate that would ban adding fluoride to public water systems. If Cox signs the bill, H.B. 81, it would go into effect on May 7.
