Zookeepers have blamed fireworks on the annual Bonfire Night celebrations for the death of a baby red panda named Roxie

A famous UK zoo has slammed the use of fireworks after a terrified three month old red panda died from the noise of the explosions. Experts claim Roxie, a baby red panda at Edinburgh Zoo choked on her own vomit and died because of her reaction to fireworks in the area.

The baby panda was born on July 17 to her parents, Bruce and Ginger - who also died five days earlier at the zoo, which is suspected to be due to distress from fireworks too.

Animal campaigners are calling for a ban on the public sale of fireworks after a baby red panda was thought to have died from stress related to the noise.
