Air Canada flight attendants have begun an indefinite strike, grounding most flights and impacting thousands of passengers.

The federal government is intervening to resolve a labour dispute with Air Canada and the union representing flight attendants.

“Canadians have already sacrificed a lot in this uncertain economy, and this labour disruption is adding to their worries and financial burdens,” she said.
