Pope Francis has been diagnosed with bilateral pneumonia, the Vatican said. The pope, 88, was admitted to Rome’s Agostino Gemelli Polyclinic hospital on Friday after experiencing symptoms of bronchitis for several days.

The 88-year pontiff has been suffering from a respiratory infection for more than a week and was admitted to Rome's Gemelli Hospital on February 14.
