I think the opening hours are different in winter - seemed to be open 11-4 when we visited in January. It was about £10 pp to go in and we were given a booklet in English to help us go room to room.…Full review by 50cab50

The museum is good but takes less than an hour to go round. The displays depict a lot of hunting so not for the squeamish, also a lot of information on Norwegian pole expeditionsFull review by Dave T

I love this museum!! Second time in Tromso and visited this place again!! Interesting history of exploration of the N/S Poles. Love the top floor story too about Nansen’s journeyFull review by lindajean5707

Everywhere in Tromso is walking distance, just walk towards the bridge and you'll find the signs to it, it's tucked down some little streets towards the water but it's signposted. Well worth it. …
